Description
An elegant, well-structured and complex wine, which captivates with its intense shade, with a pleasant and well-integrated acidity, with strong aromas of red fruits, plums, cherries and oriental spices.
- Appearance: Intense ruby red.
- Smell: Primary flavors of plums, sour cherries, blueberries and blackcurrants, combined with subtle notes of chocolate and spice.
- Taste: Corpulent, balanced, elegant structure, fine tannins, with final shades of black chocolate, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla
- Serving: at 15 -17 C degrees, along with red beef, game, spicy sausages and matured cheeses.
- Type of grape: Fetească neagră.
- Type of wine: Red, dry, DOC – CMD Dealu Mare.
- Vol. Alc.: 14.3%.
- Production Area: Dealu Mare – Valea Calugaresca Vineyard.
- Region: Piedmont, calcareous area with southern orientation. Elevation 300 m.
- Winemaking: The grapes were manually harvested in small crates, unstemmed and left for maceration in cold place (around 6 C degrees) in stainless steel tanks, followed by fermentation for about 10 days.
- After finishing the malolactic fermentation( MLF), a maturation followed for 18 months in oak barrels and then it was left to quiet in the glass.
